No you do not have to volunteer. Incidentally, the money raised from the membership drive purchases stuffed animals for all our pediatric patients, yarn for the baby caps, books for the newborns at our hospital and to the Women’s Imaging Center for equipment.
Volunteers who volunteer 40 hours in a year receive a free blood annual panel, mammogram or a PSA test. Volunteers also receive a free meal in our cafeteria after four hours of volunteer service. Volunteers receive use of exercise equipment at the Regional Rehabilitation Center.

The purpose of the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is to promote and enhance the goals and services of the hospital and its affiliates as a caring community healthcare leader. The Auxiliary provides educational, financial, and volunteer services for the organization, in accordance with the objectives established by the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees. |
